Rawlins C. Burrows

Mr. Rawlins C. Burrows, 78, of Winston-Salem, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on October 6, 2009 following a long struggle with cancer. His last years were marked by a persistent willingness to help others and an unfailing faith in his Lord. He will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his loving wife, Marsie; two sons, Dwight of Jamestown, IN, and Gary of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Debbie of Newnan, GA, and Stephanie of Pearland, TX, and their spouses; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Ray T. Burrows of Georgetown, KY; and a sister, Margie Goldie of Fort Thomas, KY. Mr. Burrows was retired from R.J. Reynolds and a member of Vienna Baptist Church in Pfafftown. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10 at Vienna Baptist Church with Pastors Jeff Clawson and Ed Sears officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The family especially appreciates the kind and loving care provided by the staff of the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, and for the love and prayers of his church family which he loved so much.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
