Randy Lane

Randle "Randy" Stewart Lane, 67, of Lewisville, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 4, 1950 to the late Dallas Gray and Ellen Stewart Lane. Randy graduated from Parkland High School in 1969 and in his early years he traveled professionally as a musician playing his 1965 fender bass and singing in the band "The 4th Generation" and later playing locally with "Sylvia and the Good Times". He was the owner and operator of Randy Lane Landscaping and Irrigation Company for 38 years. His greatest accomplishment in life was his family. His children and grandchildren gave him happiness beyond words. Randy was a good Christian man that knew his Lord and was not afraid to die for he knew that he was going to glory. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Gray "Pappy" and Ellen Stewart Lane ; a sister, Lynn Lane Rydman and his mother-in-laws, Doris G. Arrington and Camilla Arrington. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Melinda Arrington Lane; one son, Patrick Stewart Lane (Lena); one daughter, Sherri Lee Lane; three grandsons, Corey Noe, Taylor Lane and Chase Lane and his four legged baby, "Lucy Lu Lane". Also surviving are his brother, Don Lane (Donna); his father-in-law, Thomas G. Arrington; his brother-in-laws, Blaine Rydman, Danny Arrington, Greg Arrington and Tommy Arrington (Cathy) and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Wake Forest Baptist Health and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their loving care of our precious husband, father and Paw Paw, Randy Lane. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel, 6685 Shallowford Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
