On December 30, 2012, at the home he cherished and surrounded by his loved ones, Our Heavenly Father gently took the hand of his precious child Randy (Randall) Keith Sidden and whispered, ""come with Me"". Randy was joyously born into this world on August 15, 1953, the third child of Rebecca (Becky) Swaim Sidden and the late John Arvel Sidden. Randy was a 1972 graduate of East Forsyth High School and attended one year at High Point College. He joyfully retired from RJR in 2010 after over 39 years of service. He loved playing softball, sky diving, kayaking, scuba diving, hang gliding, snow and water skiing, working his beloved land in Pilot Mtn. and taking his grandson, Cole, for rides on the tractor. Surviving to miss him every day and celebrate his blessed life are his devoted wife of 28 years, Susan Whicker Sidden, Pilot Mtn.; a daughter, Sabrina Sidden Hicklin (Sean) and grandson, Cole William Simpson of Troutville, Va., a daughter, Erin M. Ringley of Elkin; his mother Rebecca Swaim Sidden of Winston-Salem.; a special brother, John (Mike) Sidden of East Bend; loving sisters, Judy Sidden, Roanoke, Va. And Jane Sidden Griesbauer (Gary) of Winston-Salem and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Zak A. King officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a favorite Church or charity. A special thanks to Dr. William Petty and Dr. James Urbanic at Baptist Hospital. Also Janice B. Woodruff and Angie Swaim for helping make the fight against cancer a little easier with their guidance and kindness. Thanks to the Pilot Mtn. Hospice nurse Arla Torman and CNA Janice Carter. Randy was very thankful to the Lord for the many happy blessings bestowed on him with many wonderful family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. His family and many friends have lost a wonderful, caring person and Heaven has gained a new bright star. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
