Mr. Randall Lee Hinton, 82, passed away on May 1, 2023, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Oscar Hinton and Sitha Davis Hinton on September 22, 1940. Randall was a man of God, devoted husband, loving father and Pawpaw. He was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church where he served faithfully for many years. Randall enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, and watching his favorite sports teams the Atlanta Braves and NC State Wolfpack. Along with his parents, Randall is preceded in death by his sister Juanita Hinton and brother Carlton Hinton. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine Bunn Hinton; daughter Brenda (Glenn) Eaton; daughter Cathy (Jerry) Penna; son Randy (Connie) Hinton; grandchildren Mandy (Damian) Guido, Brian Eaton, Matt (Haley) Penna, Derek (Sara) Penna, Trey Hinton, and Eli Hinton; great grandchildren Caleb Eaton, Kylie Eaton, Kate Penna, and Luke Penna; sister Marjorie (Gene) Workman; brother Doug (Judy) Hinton; brother Oscar Hinton Jr.; several loving nieces and nephews; and other friends that are like family. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 5, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Grace Baptist Church with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church at 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM Friday before the service.
