Mr. Ralph Meadows, born on October 18, 1939, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2011. He resided with his wife in Winston-Salem. Ralph retired from Dairy Fresh after 52 years of service. He volunteered at City View Fire Department in Winston-Salem and was known as ""The Hotdog Man"" for many years that he volunteered for the Kernersville Raider Little League. He enjoyed his many rides with the Gold Wing Association Chapter G. Ralph was preceded in death by his father Howard Meadows and his step-son Scott Thomas. Ralph is survived by his wife Vernice Meadows; his mother Eula Meadows; two sisters, Jean Carter and husband John and Norma Lee Meadows; his daughter, Vicki Moore and husband Mike of Kernersville; two sons, Bruce Meadows and wife Barbara of Winston-Salem and Wade Meadows; three step-daughters, Vickie Doby and husband Ricky of Dobson, Dawn Tysor of Clemmons, and Tabitha Walter and husband David of Concord; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Ralph to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express a special Thank You to Gary and Wanda Bryant and to all of the caring people with hospice. ""He will be deeply missed and loved for eternity.""
