Raeford Ray Earl Thompson

Mr. Raeford ""Ray"" Earl Thompson Sr., 56, passed away early Friday morning, January 29, 2010 at his home. He was born December 20, 1953 to Raeford N. Thompson and Verlene E. Peele Thompson. He loved to write and he had two of his books published and was currently working on getting his third book published. Ray loved his online friends and would always say that he thought of them as family. Ray is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Theresa Poulter Thompson, three sons, Raeford Jr. and wife Robin, Charles Nelson Thompson, Daniel Allan Thompson and wife Ivete, one daughter, Crystal Shawnee' Thompson and fianc郩 Darrell Fulton, 12 grandchildren, Cassie Doub, Cody Thompson, Raeford E. III, Theresa Thompson, Dylan Hutchins, Trent Moore, Raven Moore, Devyn Moore, Chyenne Bowling, Emma Thompson, Daniel Thompson Jr. and Talon Thompson, one great-grandbaby, Zachery Nale. He is also survived by his mother, Verlene Peele Thompson, a brother, Ronald Wade Thompson and wife Patsy, three sisters, Virginia Hunt and husband Clifford, Kathy Hunter and husband Phil and Sandra Sanchez. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 - 8:00 Wednesday evening, February 3, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
