Rachel Sarah Thompson

Mrs. Rachel Sarah Thompson, 92, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior from her home on Sunday, May 21, 2023.  She was born in Stanly County, NC on May 26, 1930, to the late Barnes Belton and Sarah Furr Bullock.  Mrs. Thompson was a longtime member of Woodland Baptist Church.  She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  Preceding her in death was her husband, K.Z. Thompson and a son, Kim Thompson.  Surviving is a son, Shane Thompson; granddaughter, Brandy Spainhour (Chad); grandson, Eric Thompson (Jessica); five great-grandchildren, Brent, Caleb, Kaylin, Justin, and Madisyn Sarah; also surviving are two brothers, Lenn and Ned Bullock.  A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, May 26, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating.  Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 PM prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
