Rachel Hudson

OAK RIDGE – Rachel Warren Hudson, 83, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Meridian Center. Rachel was born on July 23, 1939 in Guilford County to Charlie and Geneva Pope Warren. She retired from Jefferson-Pilot Life and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, where she was very active in the Keenager Group. Rachel loved working in her flowers, shopping and enjoyed bus tours with her friends. She was a loving and caring person, a devoted mother, and grandmother, with a great sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Rebecca Edwards and Ruth Collins.

Surviving are her sons, Clay Hudson (Donna) of Kernersville, and Jeff Hudson of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Kristen “Krissy” Hudson, and Travis Hudson, both of Kernersville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
