Quinn Davis

Miss Quinn Brooklyn Davis, 7, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Brenner Children’s Hospital at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.  Quinn came to this Earth as a borrowed Angel on September 25, 2015.  Quinn’s birth was a miracle and each day with her allowed her parents and extended family to experience a glimpse of all things pure and perfect.  Quinn loved water and was a mermaid at heart.  She enjoyed dancing and wiggled her body with any music.  Quinn had a laugh and huge smile that were infectious and her snuggles captured your heart.  She taught everyone about unconditional love and the importance of not taking a second for granted.  Quinn filled any room with her warmth and light.  She will be missed deeply but her family and friends gather peace knowing she is now a mermaid unicorn princess angel watching over them.  Quinn was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandfathers, David Cruise and Eddie Davis, Sr.  She is survived by her parents, Amanda Cruise of Winston-Salem and Corwin Davis of Raleigh; maternal grandmother, Rita “Gigi” Cruise; paternal grandmother, Sandra Davis; and great grandmother, Margaret Jean Young.  Quinn is also survived by two uncles, Shane Cruise (Meredith) and Eddie Davis, Jr.; one aunt, Cassandra Stancil; and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles, numerous friends, and special fairy Godmother nurses, Sherrie Davis (Jarrod) and Elizabeth Peacock (Tim).  A service to celebrate Quinn’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Paul J Ciener Botanical Gardens, 215 South Main St., Kernersville, NC 27284.  The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the therapists, nurses, physicians, and teachers over the years who provided incredible expertise to allow Quinn to thrive.  They would also like to thank the Pediatric Intensive Care team at Brenner Children’s Hospital for the selfless care they provided to Quinn.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Brenner Children’s Hospital, C/O Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 1 Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Miss Davis.
