Quincy Wayne Cornatzer

Mr. Quincy Wayne Cornatzer, 77, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Davie County on January 3, 1939 to the late Charlie Watkins and Hollie Hendrix Cornatzer. Mr. Cornatzer was a member of Advance United Methodist Church. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 33 years of service. Preceding him in death was a son, Allen Wayne Cornatzer; daughter-in-law, Donna Cornatzer and two brothers, Richard ""Red"" Cornatzer and Charles ""Pete"" Cornatzer. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Faye H. Cornatzer; grandson, Johnathan Wayne Cornatzer; granddaughter, Carly Cornatzer; Dustin Moon who was like a grandson; also surviving are two brothers, Clinton ""Jitter"" Cornatzer (Bonnie) of Advance and Toby Cornatzer (Ann) of Fork. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Advance United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Advance United Methodist Church, PO Box 2021 Advance, NC 27006 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 377 Hospital St., Suite 103 Mocksville, NC 27028.
