Posie William Bud" Beck

Mr. Posie William Beck, affectingly known as ""Bud"", 63 of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Northern Surry Hospital. He was born February 22, 1945 in Forsyth County, to Posie and Bertha Gibbons Beck. Bud is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving of the home is his wife Mary ""Edra"" Beck. His family members are: father, Posie Beck of Pilot Mtn. and sisters, Annie Moore and Mary Jackson of Pilot Mtn., Barbara and Thomas Fain and Kay and Steve Thomas all of Mt. Airy; brother, Lonnie Beck of Pilot Mtn. and two deceased brothers, Jimmy and James Beck. Bud was preceded in death by his mother Bertha. Bud had six step-children, Billy Gregory and wife Shirley, Ron Gregory and wife Linda, Jerry Gregory and wife Judy, Ricky Gregory and wife Linda, Larry Gregory and wife Stacey and Barbara Gregory. As a self employed person, Bud met many people. He was considered to be a selfless loving individual that never met a stranger. His business motto was to be honest and do the job right. Bud put his trust in that sprit which led him to do good-yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, now he walks with the justified. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on December 30th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral service will be held December 31st at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4780 Westchester Rd. Winston-Salem, NC
