Polly Wyrick Parrish

Mrs. Polly Catherine Wyrick Parrish, age 80 passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 peacefully at her home. Mrs. Parrish was born September 14, 1936 in West Jefferson, NC to the late Everett and Dora Wyrick. Polly retired from R.J. Reynolds with 34 years of service and also worked for Rick and Connie Reuhland for 25 years. She loved to travel and have family and friends in her home especially during the Christmas Season, She had a smile for everyone that she came in contact with. In addition to her parents Polly was preceded in death by two sisters; Ruth Morris and Grace Bell. One brother, Jim Wyrick and a special brother-in-law, Skeeze Morris. Polly is survived by her loving husband of 30 years of marriage, Bobby Parrish, who took the very best care of our mother. Two daughters; Tana (Guy) Buchanan and Lynn Sloan. One son, Van Sloan. One grandson, Mikey Cline and one great-granddaughter. One very special sister. Margret Wyrick and a special niece Susie Holloway. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Polly will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Skip Furrow. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening March 23rd from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
