Polly Johnson Kerley

Polly Johnson Kerley, age 84, of Winston-Salem N.C. passed away Thursday December 18, 2014.
Polly is survived by one brother, John Loma Johnson ( J.L.) and wife, Anne; and three of her five children, Rebecca Kerley Ross (Becky) and husband, Mike of Cherryville, NC; Maxine Kerley Bowen and husband, Stuart of Tobaccoville ,and John Stephen Kerley and wife, Julie of Winston-Salem NC. She had six grandchildren, Heather Frazier, Stuart Bowen Jr, Alan Kerley, Crystal Giffin, Michael Ross Jr. Polly was blessed with eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Aul McNeil Kerley (Mack); her parents, John Loma Johnson and Nora Blevins Johnson, her son Glen Alan Kerley(Pete), her daughter, Patricia Lynn Kerley, her sister, Katherine Johnson Sain, and her granddaughter, Cassandra B. Royo. Polly was born July 18, 1930 in Fairplains NC to John Loma Johnson and Nora Blevins Johnson. She was a homemaker until the death of her husband, then went to work at R.J. Reynolds where she retired. Mrs. Kerley was very talented in all areas of her life, including oil artistry and flower arranging. Polly loved cooking, reading and working the daily crossword puzzle in ink. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday December 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Mount Lawn Memorial Park, 196 Fan Key Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 with Pastor Bryant Madren officiating the ceremony.
