Phyllis Ann Robinson Combs

 Mrs. Phyllis Ann Robinson Combs, 80, passed away on November 9, 2024, at The Oaks in Winston-Salem. She was born on April 20, 1944, in Hillsville, VA to the late Thornton Edmond Robinson and Nina Lou Smythers Robinson. Phyllis was a member of Belews Creek Christian Church. She enjoyed gospel music, sewing, making dresses, and playing piano. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Gray Combs, one son, Scott Combs (Emerald) of Concord, one daughter, Rhonda Brooks (Kelly) of Liberty, four grandchildren; Kristen Lawson (Bruce), Lauren Akins (David), Courtney Hickes, and Alexandria Combs, and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday November 14, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Herb Mabe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of The Oaks and Liberty Hospice Thomasville Office for their care of Phyllis.
