Phyllis Eaton Mackie

Mrs. Phyllis Eaton Mackie, 72, passed away on November 30, 2022, at her home in Winston-Salem, NC. Phyllis was born on September 6, 1950, in Forsyth County to the late Barney Taylor Eaton and Beulah Lakey Eaton. She was married to her loving husband, Roger Mackie, for 53 years. Phyllis retired as a hairdresser after 42 years. She was also a devoted and extremely active member of Woodland Baptist Church, she loved her pastor, her church family, and the Lord. Phyllis had a love of decorating both her church and her home. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ken Eaton. She is survived by her loving husband; her brother Don (Emily) Eaton; special brother-in-law Larry Mackie; nephew Billy (Amy) Duggins and their daughter Kaylee; and many special friends in her church family. The family would like to offer a huge thank you to the staff of Trellis Hospice Care and all their support and love during this challenging time. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons and Reverend Vic Pyles officiating.
