Phyllis Miller

THOMASVILLE – Phyllis Justice Miller, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home. Phyllis was born on August 1, 1937 in Tazewell County, VA to Winfred and Helen Whitt Justice. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and a sweet, true, loving wife. Phyllis cared for everyone above herself. She loved to quilt, sew and crochet and enjoyed cooking – especially desserts. Phyllis always tried to make the holidays special for her family.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky and Tracy; a brother, Mike Justice; and a sister, Joan Ball.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Gary Miller; one son, Keith Miller (wife, Lori); a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Miller; five grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer), Charley, Justin (Brandi), Steven, and Sarah; and three great grandchildren, Walker, Lettie, and Bennett.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastors Steve Roberson, Frank Shumate and Donnie Durham officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
