Phyllis Diane Batten Blackmon

WINSTON-SALEM---Mrs. Phyllis Diane Batten Blackmon age 65, died January 7, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Wake County, NC on May 15, 1949 to the late Wilbert and Sally Suggs Batten.

Mrs. Blackmon was retired from Lucent Technologies. She was a longtime member of Waughtown Baptist Church where she played the piano and was a member of the choir.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Mark Hull and wife Cindy; one brother Steve Batten and wife Brenda; two sisters Jeanne King, Susan Agee and husband Thomas; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Hull.

A Funeral Service will be offered from The Chapel of Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 2015. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel.
