Phyllis Bauguss Angell

KERNERSVILLE - Phyllis Bauguss Angell, 78, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the 25th day of October, 2012 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born July 6, 1934 in Forsyth Co. to Fern Swaim Bauguss and the late Everett Bauguss. Mom was a radiant Christian and a loving example to her family, church, and many friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a wonderful, caring woman who left behind a legacy of grace, honor and gave so unselfishly. After her courageous fight with Cancer diagnosed in 2010, she remained strong willed through it all. Telling everyone she never felt like she had cancer. Her unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, and friends carried her through. She was our solid rock. On January 17, 1953, she married the love of her life, Nelson Angell. Mom spent her life investing time in the lives of her family and friends. She loved serving God in her home and church, Oaklawn Baptist. It gave Mom much joy to use her talents in the kitchen to minister to many people. Her love for the beach took her there one last time the first week of October, where she took the courage with assistance to walk one last time to sit on the pier of the beach and visit with friends. A memory that her children, Nelson and friends will never forget. Thank you Mom for showing us courage, for being you, and the special person that you were. You are our sunshine and inspiration. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Bauguss. Surviving are her husband, Nelson Angell; two sons, Keith Angell and wife, Donna , Kyle Angell and wife, Tonya; two daughters, Karen Angell, and Kim Maynard and husband, Bobby ; seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Mason, Angel, Casey, Luke, Bryson, and Brennan; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Fern Daniel; one sister, Carolyn Pappas and husband, Jimmy; three sisters-in-law, Ginger Bauguss, Opal Beeson, and Reba Tuttle; one brother-in-law, Oliver Angell and wife, Carol, and many nieces and nephews.
