Phoebe Hill Coone

COONE - PILOT MOUNTAIN

Mrs. Phoebe Hill Coone, age 96, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at her home. She was born September 8, 1917 in Surry County to the late Ada Mae Jessup Hill and John Martin Hill. Mrs. Coone was a member of Friendly Chapel Church and the Loyal Ladies Sunday School Class. She was a homecare provider for families in and around Pilot Mountain.

Mrs. Coone was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Wade Coone; daughter and son-in-law, Arbra C. and Bobby R. Inman; nine siblings: Lester Hill, Joel Hill, Charlie Hill, Ruby Coe, Bob Hill, Ida Mae Corbell, Geneva Wright, Jay Porter Hill, and Nonnie Joyce.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Tammy Inman of Mt. Airy; Dale Inman (Shelia) of Mt. Airy, and Gary Inman (Leslie) of Richmond, VA; four great-grandchildren: Kendra, Taylor, Jordan, and Hunter; and one sister, Ethel Hill Smith of Siloam.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Friendly Chapel Church with Brother Don Collins and Rev. Wayne Wright officiating. Entombment will follow in the Inman Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
