Phillip Wayne Mcgee

Mr. Phillip Wayne McGee, 78, passed away Thursday January 12, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late Everette Odell McGee and Ruby Joyner McGee. Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed sharing stories of his time in the service. He loved fishing and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company where his coworkers affectionately called him Jaws. In addition to his parents Phillip was preceded in death by a brother; Everette McGee, and a sister; Ann McGee. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Barneycastle McGee, four step children; Lynne Stone (Eddie), Bobby Frye (Sheree), Annette Gibson (Dale), and Terry Frye (Natalie), several grandchildren, a sister Aletha Westmoreland (Bobby), and his caregiver Lorinda Hazelwood. The family will receive friends Wednesday January 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Hayworth-Miller Rural hall chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:00PM with Rev. Walter Terrell officiating.
