Phillip Wayne Johnson

Mr. Phillip Wayne Johnson, 73, of Rural Hall, NC passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home. Wayne was born July 28, 1951, to the late Numi and Mattie Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Darinda Johnson, and two brothers Bud Johnson and Terry Johnson. Wayne was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and a member of the Ambassadors Class. He was a great husband, daddy, papa, and friend. He was well known and loved by all. Family was the most important thing to him, and he loved his family dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patty Atkins Johnson; daughter, Dana Beckham (Matt); three grandchildren, Brandon Jennings, Aubrey Beckham, and Tanner Beckham; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Jennings. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Interment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
