Peter Moogan

KERNERSVILLE – Peter Thomas Moogan, 65, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Kernersville Medical Center. Peter was born on October 11, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY to Owen and Lorraine Casey Moogan. He enjoyed doing carpentry work, gardening, and cooking in his spare time. Peter loved his family dearly, especially his dogs. He was a wonderful person who will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Moogan.

Surviving him are his wife of 43 years, Luz Moogan; one sister, Teresa Moogan (Elly Kover); one brother, Richard Moogan (Martha); three nieces, Jen, Kathy, and Molly; six nephews, Richard, Brian, Kevin, Ashley, Joshua, and Mark; three grandnephews, Reid, Tommy, and Hayes; two sisters-in-law, Nora and Martha; and one brother-in-law, Luis.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at The Summit Church – Oak Ridge with Pastor Peter Krey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cone Health Cancer Center at MedCenter High Point, 2630 Willard Dairy Road Suite 300, High Point, NC 27265. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
