Percy Norman Richardson

KERNERSVILLE- Percy Norman Richardson, 85, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Hospice of Rockingham Co. He was born July 27, 1929 in Forsyth Co. to the late Walter Lee and Fleta Davis Richardson.

Norman was a faithful member of White Road Baptist Church. He loved to garden and hunt, but mostly he loved being with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Delavis ""Dee"" Frances Richardson; and brother, Rex Allen Richardson.

Surviving are his son, Richard Richardson and wife, Sherry; daughters, Barbara Duncan and husband, Tommy, Sue Pope and husband, Fletcher; six grandchildren, Teresa Wood, Melissa Reed, Jason Duncan, Simon Davis, Christian Richardson, Chase Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Trent, Gracie and Sean Wood; brother, Roland; sister Beatrice Sally; numerous nieces and nephews.


A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at White Road Baptist Church with Pastor R.J. McBride officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
