Peggy Wall Yale

GERMANTON ""But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint"" (Isaiah 40:31). On Wednesday September 8, 2010 Mrs. Peggy Wall Yale was called home to her Father in Heaven. Surrounded by loved ones at Forsyth Medical Center, Mrs. Yale was taken due to her on-going battle with ovarian cancer. Mrs. Yale was born January 10, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Claude Ray Wall and Sudie Bowen Wall. She was the older of two children. Mrs. Yale was brought up in the Forsyth area and grew to love her community significantly. As an active member of her area, Mrs. Yale helped to found the Enrichment Center in Winston-Salem. This Center is a not-for-profit arts-based day program for adults with physical and developmental disabilities; offering training in functional skills, multi-media and arts, music, dance, and supported employment. There she served on the board for many years. In her life she acquired many volunteer hours through charity benefits, auctions and organizations. One of her most recent involvements was one regarding breast cancer in honor of her youngest daughter, Sharon Campbell, a breast cancer survivor. In 2008 Mrs. Yale was named one of Woman's Day Magazine's ""Women of the Month."" She received a $10, 000 dollar donation to go to the Enrichment Center. In addition to her home area, Mrs. Yale was a devoted member of her church community. She attended Faith Missionary Alliance for roughly twenty years. There she was able to inspire others through her dedicated walk with Christ and undying faith. Though Mrs. Yale has physically left our world, her memory, love and kindness are still very much alive in those left behind. While she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rayvone Campbell and her son Rayvone Alan Campbell, there are still many who grieve her absence. Surviving are her husband, James R. Yale; her son Steve Campbell and three daughters, Donna Graves with husband Robert, Kimberly Money and Sharon Campbell. Mrs. Yale also had three step daughters, Deborah Reynolds, Jolene Mitchell, and Teresa Splawn; three step-sons, Johnny Smith, Tim Yale, and Bruce Yale. Perhaps Mrs. Yale's most prized possession however were her many grandchildren: Keith, Amanda, Jennifer, Josh, Joshua Dale, Sara, Tyler, Bradley, Amy, Jacob, Victoria, Austin, and Trey; and her three great grandchildren: Sky, Kanyon, and Braelyn. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mike Gates in addition to many add-ins from the family. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Winston-Salem Enrichment Center, 1006 S. Marshall Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 ""Jesus said to him, 'Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise'"" (Luke 23:43).
