KERNERSVILLE- Peggy Stafford Wilson, 79, of Kernersville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Kernersville on February 17, 1932, the only child of Robert Glen and Ester Morgan Stafford. Ms. Wilson was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Colfax, and was retired from International Brotherhood Boilermakers. She graduated from Kernersville High School in 1950. She was a very creative and compassionate individual. Her acts of charity and service have blessed the lives of many. Her quick wit and humor have brought countless smiles. Through her example, she has taught her posterity and others, privileged to have known her, the meaning of living a Christ like life. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Michael Brandon Baize. Surviving are two daughters, Sherri (Steve) Duke of Phoenix, AZ, Denice (Doug) Smith of Kernersville; one son, Bobby Brent Wilson of Kernersville; grandchildren, Shawna, Steven, Nicholas, Brandon, Shannon, Skyler and Clayton; great grandchildren, Lianna, Alyssia, Brianna, Sierra, Nathan and Gizelle. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Colfax with Bishop Barry Page officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
