Peggy Galliher Willard

Peggy Galliher Willard, 74, passed away at her home in Pinnacle. She will always be remembered as a devout Christian who loved her Lord and a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved her friends at Woodland Baptist Church. Peggy was born on April 5, 1938 to the late James and Flossie Galliher of Harmony, NC. She is survived by her husband, Linney Willard, her daughter Mitzy Willard Taylor and son-in-law, Morgan Taylor and daughter Nan Willard Grover and son-in-law, Ed Grover, five grandchildren, Hannah Grover, Wesley Grover, Zachary Grover, Megan Taylor and Meredith Taylor, 2 sisters Geraldine Smith, Louise Anderson and her brother Ernest Galliher and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Galliher, Mary Stroud, Evelyn Fraley and two brothers, Lawrence Galliher and Dwight Galliher. Peggy retired in 1994 from Westinghouse Electric where she worked for 25 years. She was an encouraging, enthusiastic woman, with a true servant's heart. She was known for wonderful cakes that she loved to give away and she was an avid gardener. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Woodland Baptist Church, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:30 prior to the service at Woodland Baptist Church In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Woodland Baptist Church, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
