Kernersville – Peggy Earline Biggs Powers, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1940, in Guilford County to the late Albert John and Lilly Beatrice Biggs. Peggy enjoyed so many things during her time here on earth. She enjoyed working in her flowers, spending time with her family, and her time singing with her quartet, The Faith Travelers Quartet. One thing for certain was her love for the Lord. Peggy exhibited what it was to be a Christian. She was the type of person who loved everybody and wasn’t afraid to tell them. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will dearly be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Eugene Stephens; and one brother, Bobby Biggs.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pam Stephens Alford (Adam); one granddaughter, Crystal Stephens Moose (Mark); three great grandchildren, Aidan, Hope, and Faith Moose; one sister, Barbara Biggs James and her son, Jeffrey; and two brothers, Ralph Biggs (Joyce), and Danny Biggs (Lynn).
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45pm prior to the service. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Woodland Cemetery - Madison, NC.
