Mrs. Peggy Lee Jones Moser, 88, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Arbor Acres where she had been a resident for two years. Peggy was born in Winston-Salem on November 6, 1927, to the late John Lee Jones and Mary Clementine Hicks Jones. She was married to L. Ray Moser on April 5, 1947. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2013. Peggy was a great homemaker and traveled with Ray far and often with the Carolina's Unit of the The Airstream Club where they made many lifelong friends. She and Ray traveled extensively through Europe for two years while he was on assignment in Germany with IBM. Peggy was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Moser is survived by two sons, Larry Moser and wife, Monnie of Kernersville and Tom Moser of Clemmons; one grandson, Alex Moser of Clemmons; two sisters, Erline Wright of Winston-Salem and Mary Hege and husband, Joe of Winston-Salem; one sister-in-law, Di-Ann Moser of Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Peggy will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Charles Fishel officiating. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arbor Acres Employee Christmas Fund, 1240 Arbor Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
