Peggy White McGraw

Mrs. Peggy White McGraw, 60, of Advance passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1949 in Forsyth County to Bruce Emerson White, Sr. and Earline Nelson White. Mrs. McGraw was a member of Smith Grove United Methodist Church of Mocksville. She was a graduate of Parkland High School and received a 2 year nursing degree at Forsyth Tech. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Frank E. McGraw; two daughters, Meredith Lozier and husband Aaron of Clemmons, and Lindsay Owen and husband Bobby of Mocksville; four grandchildren, Madison Ivey Owen, Alexander Aaron Lozier, Gavin Luke Owen and Dylan Scott Lozier; her mother, Earline Nelson White; a sister, Sandra White Massey and husband Bill; a brother, Bruce E. White, Jr. and wife Wendy; three nieces; and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Joanne Henley and the Rev. Tim Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 28 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center at Forsyth Medical Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. A special thanks for all the prayers and support from family and friends, especially to Dr. Lawrence Nycum and the entire staff at the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center on the 8th floor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center at Forsyth Medical Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
