Mrs. Peggy Ernest Linville, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born in Forsyth County on March 2, 1931 to Bertha Teague Ernest and Grover Allen Ernest. She was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church. As a hardworking homemaker, some of her favorite activities were tending to her yard and decorating for Christmas. Peggy will be remembered as a selfless, supportive, and spunky lady who dearly loved her family. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, William Norman "Bill" Linville, as well as six brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her two daughters, Pam Parks (Steve) of Winston-Salem, and Sandy James (Stephen) of Mocksville; five grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Stephen Jr. (Melissa), Shawn, and Samantha (Colby); one great granddaughter, Rowan; a brother, Turner Ernest; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Stephen James officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 4615 Dundas Ln., Greensboro, NC 27407. The family wishes to thank the staff of Autumn Care of Mocksville for the exceptional care Peggy received.
