Peggy Brewer

Mrs. Peggy Jane Hendrix Brewer, 91, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022.  She was born December 11, 1930, in Forsyth County to the late Clyde Edward Hendrix and Leza Jones Hendrix.  Peggy was a graduate of Clemmons High School, class of 1949.  She was a life-long member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.  Peggy loved her church and enjoyed all kinds of charity work through Pine Grove and other foundations, such as Meals on Wheels and the Rescue Mission.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Gray Brewer; brother, Skip Hendrix; and sister, Patsy Hendrix Eller.  Peggy is survived by three daughters: Robin Danner (Charlie), Dawn Smith, and Amy Mabe; three granddaughters: Katie Pfaff (Garrett), Emily Higgins (Austin), and Holly Mabe; and three great-grandsons: Nathaniel, Desmond, and Jameson.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103; Crossnore Communities for Children, 1001 Reynolda Rd NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27104; or Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1130 Jonestown Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
