Peggy Holt

Kernersville – Mrs. Peggy Macy Holt, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 30, 1936 in Forsyth County to Howard Macy and Irene Dull Macy. She was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church. She was a 1955 graduate of Kernersville High School. Peggy was a Loan Officer for over 14 years for Cameron Brown. She enjoyed traveling to Amish Country as well as to the beach where she loved to sunbathe. Peggy had a special relationship with her only grandchild, Kennadi and she loved to spend time with her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Carl Monroe Holt. She is survived by her son, Mark Holt (wife, Ann); one grandchild, Kennadi Cline (husband, Wes); one brother, Danny Macy (wife, Janice); and one sister-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Drake.

A memorial service for Peggy will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Kernersville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family welcomes friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dr. Record Fellowship Sunday School Class at Kernersville Wesleyan Church at 930 N. Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
