Peggy Coe Ellis

Mrs. Peggy Joe Coe Ellis, 86, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on February 3rd. 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Atrium Health, following a brief illness. She was born on September 9th, 1938, in Forsyth County to the late Mr. Edgar William Coe and Mrs. Irene Joyce Coe. Peggy was a loving wife to her husband of 70 years, Phillip E. Ellis, and a loving mother to her 5 children. 

You could find Peggy outdoors most of the time. She loved to garden, she especially loved to rake. She loved flowers, of all kind and color. She truly loved spending time with her family and cooking home cooked meals for them. Peggy also loved her cat, Booger. 

Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband, Phillip E. Ellis, a son, Robert Ellis (Cynthia); two daughters & a son-in-law, Pamela Joe Aslanis (Pete) and Portia Byerly; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Church (Martha). In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in passing by two daughters, Donna Kay Ellis and Peggy Jean Ellis; three brothers, and two sisters. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at 1:00pm at Temple Baptist Church, 7035 Franklin Road, Lewisville, NC, 27023 with Pastor Josh Boyles officiating and special music by Steve Holley. There will be a visitation held an hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church, 7035 Franklin Road, Lewisville, NC, 27023. 

Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Ellis.
