Mrs. Peggy Jean Murphy Campbell, 83, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at her home surrounded by

her family. She was born on October 9, 1937, in Forsyth Co. the daughter of the late Sam and Beulah Murphy. Peggy was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church and a member of the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class. She retired from Winston-Salem/Forsyth Co. Schools, where she worked in the cafeteria at Northwest Middle School. Peggy loved to cook and she loved children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Terry Campbell; and two sisters, Norma Murphy and Mozelle Yarborough. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joe Bronzie Campbell; two daughters, Rhonda Whisenhunt (Donnie) and Pam Williams (Mark); two sons, Mark Campbell and Phil Campbell; four grandchildren, Jessica Dixon (Travis), Amanda Greene, Lindsey Pichette(Stuart) and Madison Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Preston and Ava; one sister, Sue Wall; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Under current concerns with COVID, Mrs. Campbell will be available for viewing at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel form 9:00-5:00 on Monday, August 16, 2021. The family will not be present. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be to: Woodland Baptist Church or Trellis Supportive Care.
