Mrs. Peggy Hogue Bullard, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away on February 7, 2010. Mrs. Bullard had resided at Salemtowne Moravian Retirement Community for the past year and a half. She was born July 18, 1933 in Mecklenburg County to Nathaniel Walker and Alma Gladys Hogue. She lived in Greeneville , Tennessee for nine years. She was a life long member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church . Peggy retired as a nurse from Winston-Salem Health Care. She loved sharing stories and bragging about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved watching and feeding the birds. She was very comforted in her faith and loved adding friends and family to her ""special prayer list."" She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Bullard, Sr.; and their grandson, Jackie Grey Bullard III. She is survived by a son, Jackie Bullard, Jr. and wife Debbie of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Kim Craig and husband, Homer ( a very special son-in-law) of Winston-Salem; also surviving are four grandchildren, Kelley Richardson and husband Eric of Kernersville, Brad Bullard of Winston-Salem, Jordan Harrold and husband Michael of Lewisville, and Lora Craig of Winston-Salem; two very special great-grandchildren, Shay and Carson Richardson; a sister Ruby West and husband Jerry; brother, N.W. ""Butch"" Hogue and wife Brenda; two very special sisters-in-law, Libby Fulk and Jane Bullard; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Winston-Salem with Dr. Steve Martin officiating. The honorary pallbearers as chosen by Peggy will be; Stokes Alridge, Doug Bullard, Mike Fulk, Michael Harrold, Brent Hogue, Ken Mills, Eric Richardson, R.L. Spach, and Jeff West. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at Salemtowne Moravian Retirement Community, Dr. Gerald Fromson, Noreen Swing, and Dr. Ronald Hutton and staff for the care and support given to Mrs. Bullard. Memorials may be made to the general fund at Pine Grove United Methodist Church , 1130 Jonestown Rd. Winston-Salem , NC 27103 .
