Peggy Blakely

Mrs. Peggy Sue Ayers Blakley, 74, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1947, in Stokes County to the late Homer Bobby and Dorothy Ellen Logan Ayers. Peggy loved gardening, tending to her flowers, and her cats. She was also known as a great cook. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Gross and sister, Shirley Lawson. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Larry Blakely; a son, Keith Blakley (Melissa); four grandchildren, Justin Brewster (Jennifer), Nick Brewster, Kaitlyn Blakley, and Austin Blakley; a great-grandson, Brody Brewster; sister, Joyce Ledford; and brother, Larry Ayers (Josie). A funeral service will be conducted 2:00PM Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Pinnacle Baptist Church with Peter Cain, Minister officiating. Interment will follow the services in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the church.
