Mrs. Peggy Ann Hartman Alexander, 77, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 20, 1931 in Forsyth County to Emory and Emma LePrade Hartman. Mrs. Alexander attended Woodland Baptist Church. She loved the fair, Christmas time, making jewelry and loved to joke with everyone. When she was healthy, she loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister, Earldean Hartman; one daughter, Sharon Kelly and one brother, Bobby Hartman. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Larry Alexander; two daughters, Cynthia Dalton (Tony) and Pamela Decker; six grandchildren, Scott and Brock Smith, Kelly Vogler, Kim Preston, Nicole and Maggie Decker; many great grandchildren, one sister, Fran Baugus; a special niece, Lynne Polley, numerous nieces, nephews and one great nephew. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Entombment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
