Mrs. Pearl Estelle Brewer Yokeley, 98, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Pearl was born May 21, 1916 in Forsyth County to James A. Brewer and Gertrude Ellen Spaugh Hilton. She was the last of nine daughters and five sons. Pearl was a member of Advent Moravian Church. She loved to work in her yard, planting flowers and doing her favorite job in the yard, weed-eating, which she continued to do up until the time of her passing. Above all, the thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and children. In addition to her parents and siblings, Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Ray Yokeley and daughters, Nancy Eddinger and Lois Boone. Pearl is survived by her sons, Jacob Yokeley and wife JoAnn and Marvin Yokeley, all of Winston-Salem; granddaughters, Debra Hall and husband Allen, Lisa Royal and husband Aaron, and Sherry Murphy and husband Tommy; grandsons, Keith Eddinger and wife Renee and James Eddinger; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and close family friend, Bob Snyder. A celebration of Pearl's life will held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11 am at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Reverend Dr. Tim Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 7 - 9 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
