Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Cobbler Thorpe, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away on February 2, 2018, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Polly was born in Forsyth County on June 5, 1927, to the late Roy Lee Cobbler and Modest Young Cobbler. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Winston-Salem and co-owner of Roger's Antique Shop. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Franklin Thorpe, Sr.; one granddaughter, Noelle Thorpe; three sisters, Marie Harrell, Margaret Gentry, and Gail Blakely; and three brothers, Roy J. "Bud" Cobbler, Perry Cobbler, and Kenny Cobbler. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Thorpe Richey; two sons, Randy Thorpe (Susan) and Frank Thorpe, Jr. (Charlotte); five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Cobbler (Pat); and one sister, Carolyn Cobbler. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
