Pauline Mahaffey Lawrence, 96, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Trinity Glen Nursing Home. Pauline was born on March 11, 1921 in Iredell County to Cleveland and Pearl Mitchell Mahaffey. She worked for Indera Mills in Winston-Salem and retired after 29 years of service. She was a devoted member of Faith Church. Pauline was a loving mother, sister, grand and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Grant Lawrence; four brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include, son, Hal Lawrence (Ann); daughter, Hilda L. Riffle (Charles); three grandchildren, Debbie Gibbons, Jeff Lawrence and Joey Riffle; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea Gibbons Cline, Molly and Maddy Gibbons, Evan, Gabe and Aaron Lawrence, and Levi and Luke Riffle; and one brother, Roy Mahaffey.
