Pauline Vance Joyce

Kernersville - Pauline Vance Joyce, 87, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1921 in Forsyth Co. to the late Edgar and Gertrude Sapp Vance. Pauline was a devoted member of Parkview Primitive Baptist Church; and dearly loved her church family. She had a kind and gentle spirit, and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Hugh, and Roy Vance; and one sister, Vera Peddycord. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Paul Thomas Joyce; a daughter, Paula Turner and husband Chris; a son, Richard Joyce and wife Sandra; five grandchildren, April, Cristen, Paul, Beth, and Katie; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Louise Vance. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville with Elder E.W. Hooven officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
