Paul 'Aaron' Wilkins

Mr. Paul ""Aaron"" Wilkins, 35, of Winston-Salem, passed away the week of August 6, 2012. Aaron was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He devoted his days to playing with his sons, loving his wife, serving his school and church communities, and being in nature. Aaron lived life following Jesus' example and is now worshiping Him in Heaven. He was born October 19, 1976 in Bloomington, Illinois to Rev. Paul and Alice Wilkins. Aaron graduated from Appalachian State University and earned a Masters of School Administration at Gardner-Webb University. Mr. Wilkins was a P.E. teacher and athletic director at Flat Rock Middle School. He was a member of River Oaks Community Church. Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Debbie Wilkins; four sons, Paul David Wilkins, Bradley Aaron Wilkins, Joshua Boone Wilkins, and Andrew Bennett Wilkins; parents, Rev. Paul and Alice Wilkins; a sister, Tabitha Wilkins; grandparents, Marvin and Marcella Beasley; and foster sister, Mary Beth Weaver. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2012 at River Oaks Community Church with Pastor David Beaty officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. River Oaks Community Church has set up a fund for the Wilkins family, who attend the church. Checks should be made out to the River Oaks Community Church with ""Wilkins Family Fund"" in the memo line and mailed or delivered to River Oaks Community Church, 1855 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012. A portion of these funds will go to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA.org). Online condolences can be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
