Paul White

Mr. Paul Rodney White, 77, died on Friday, April 13, 2018, at his residence. Paul was born on June 12, 1940, in Forsyth County to John and Mecie Simpson White. He was a longtime member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He enjoyed golfing, loved spending time with family, and adored his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Elizabeth White; one brother, Bill White; and four sisters, Gladys Marshall, Pauline Ard, Kathleen Walker, and Mary Ruth Harrison. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Betsy Washburn White; one son, Allan White (Dana); one daughter, Temple Whitaker (Keith); four grandchildren, Kathleen Whitaker, Gracie Whitaker, Paul Whitaker, and Charlott White; two sisters, Carol Bates and Joann Harkey; and one brother, Wade White. A memorial service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church with Father Stephen Rice officiating. There will be a reception following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
