Paul Kelley, Sr.

Kernersville – Paul Richard Kelley, Sr., 69 passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Hospice Home of High Point. He was born on March 18, 1953, in Durham, NC to the late Paul Julian Kelley, Jr. and Hettie Woody Kelley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Kelley.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Nancy Kelley; son, Paul Richard Kelley, Jr. and Megan of Lexington, NC; his dog, Pete; granddog, Tuffy; as well as nieces, great nephews, and a great niece.

Mr. Kelley attended Western Carolina University where he was a member of the Theta Xi Fraternity. He graduated with an Industrial Engineering Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 1995. Mr. Kelley worked in manufacturing as an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer until he retired in 2020.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2022, with Dr. Charles “Chuck” Peters officiating at Smith Grove Baptist Church located at 2707 Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax, NC. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
