Paul Haywood Jordan

Mr. Paul Haywood Jordan, 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away on January 31, 2011. He was born November 11, 1916 in Richmond, VA. to John Robert and Donnie B. Jordan. He was a graduate of Reynolds High School and was employed by Piedmont Publishing Company in 1936. He spent his entire career in the Circulation Department, retiring in 1980 as Assistant Circulation Director. He was active in the Mid-Atlantic Circulation Managers Association and served as it's president in 1970. He was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church and the Winston-Salem Sertoma Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Jordan. Surviving are his wife, Elsie Jordan of the home; one son, Christian Jordan and wife Janice; two daughters, Paula Tuttle and husband, Mike and Jennifer Brown and husband, Dell; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan, Karen Jordan, Flynt Jordan, Kristin Segars, Bryan Tuttle, Catherine, Jordan and Noah Brown and seven great grandchildren. A memorial graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Mahathey officiating. Memorials may be made to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, 3542 Robinhood Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106-4799, Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or the charity of the donor's choice.
