Paul Joseph Golding

Paul Joseph Golding passed from the arms of his family to the presence of the Lord on September 20, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born on February 7, 1935 to Lloyd Estes Golding and Ruby Carlan Golding in Carroll County Virginia. After attending Mount Airy High School, Paul worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, retiring with 45 years of service. He was a member of Piedmont Pioneer AF&AM Lodge 685 where he was a Master Mason for 50 years. Paul enjoyed all things NASCAR. He was a lover of life who possessed a big heart and a giving nature. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Golding, and sister, Nancy Golding Hayes. Surviving are his son, Tony Golding (Adrienne); daughter, Teri Meeks (Michael); grandchildren, Ashley Murray (James), Austin Brackney (Katie), Shelley Anne Meeks, and Matthew Meeks; great grandchildren, Elliot and Lucy; brothers, Tony Golding (Vi), Mike Moxley (Laurie), and Lloyd Golding; sisters, June Smith (Arthur), Glenda Golding Hodges, and Shirley Golding; sister-in-law, Edna Buff. Following his brother, John's death, Paul was like a father to Lynn, Sandy, Angela, and Jay. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Crestview Memorial Park with Jeff Marks officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
