On Saturday, August 17, 2019, our dear grandmother, Patty Hartley Scott passed away at the age of 99 years. Patty was born to Henry Dean Hartley and Ollie Viola Essick Hartley on April 20, 1920 and lived in Davidson county her entire life. She retired from AT&T with over 30 years of service. Patty was the oldest member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her dear husband of over 50 years, Jake Scott; beloved sons, Rick and Clay Scott; and precious granddaughter, Melody Scott. She is survived by three grandchildren, Greg Scott of Clemmons, Anika Scott Ruff of Orlando, FL, and Amy Moodie Cox of Crystal River, FL; and by four great grandchildren, Austin Moodie, Jessica Ruff, Maggie Moodie and Sabrina Ruff.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 23, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Sandra Ireson officiating. Interment will follow at Arcadia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
