Patsy Gaines Watts

Mrs. Patsy Gaines Watts, 87, of Advance entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 7, 2015. She was born May 20, 1927 in Forsyth County. Patsy was raised by her loving parents, Richard Howard and Gertrude Gaines. Patsy graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School. Patsy loved all of the good things in her life. Her family was her greatest joy. Each of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were immensely blessed to have received the guidance and love she so freely gave. Patsy had many friendships over the years many that were lifelong and which she cherished greatly. She enjoyed the weekly visits to the beauty shop to talk with the girls. Patsy is and forever will be a Carolina Tarheel. She enjoyed golf, though she began later in life, and for her the Christmas season was magical. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Watts and a sister, Kathryn Preston. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Koonts (Eddy); two sons, Tony Watts and Steve Watts; six grandchildren, Kim Smith (Marty), Kristi Hubacher (Matt), Kevin Koonts(fiancée, Carolyn), Heather Rosobero (Freddie), Stephanie Watts and Michael Watts; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Carole Green (Bill). Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Jerry Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
