Patsy Lee Gartlan Utt

Patsy Lee Gartlan Utt passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Patsy was born in Galax, VA on September 26, 1933. She was a member of Praise Assembly Christian Center. She deeply believed in and supported the ministries of Praise Assembly and Gospel Light Baptist Church. Patsy was employed at Forsyth Medical Center. Remember Patsy for her faith in God, her kindness and charity to all, her sense of humor and for her contentment in life. For those who knew her, every moment of sadness at her passing will be offset by a memory of her kindness and humor. Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Aimee Gartlan and a brother, Bobby Gartlan. Surviving are two daughters, Melinda Burke and husband Rick of Springfield, TN and Lisa Utt Glunt and husband Chip of Winston-Salem, NC and Don Utt of Kernersville, NC. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Johnny York officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Forsyth Medical Center Foundation Employee Emergency Fund, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Praise Assembly Christian Center, 2252 Queen Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
