Mrs. Patsy Burchette Stone, 68, of 6211 Arden Circle, Clemmons, NC, passed away September 17, 2015, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Born on August 18, 1947, she grew up in Elkin, NC, and graduated from Elkin High School. Upon graduation, Patsy attended King's College in Charlotte, where she received a degree in business. She worked as the administrator for Silas Creek Manor and later started her own business, Floral Silks, to be able to spend more time with her children. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and an Auxiliary for Gideon's International. Patsy will be especially remembered for the joy she took in nurturing relationships with family and friends. She approached life with a cheery disposition and faith in God's provision. Those who knew her appreciated her kind smile and supportive nature. Most recently, Patsy's heart for service led her to help others who suffered with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Burchette, and her brother, Michael Burchette. Patsy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Benny Stone of Clemmons; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Christin Stone of Mars Hill, NC, and their two sons, Benjamin and Jonathan; her daughter and son-in-law, Lara and Bart Potts of Clemmons, and their son, William Ross; her mother, Dorothy Burchette of Elkin; her brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Tommie Carol Burchette of North Wilkesboro, NC; her sister, Judy Burchette of Winston-Salem NC; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Karen Burchette of Kennesaw, GA; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Becky Burchette of Elkin. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Woodland Baptist Church, located at 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC with Rev. Tim Gammons, Rev. Devy Nanlohy and Rev. David Stone officiating. Also a time of visitation with the family will take place on Saturday, September 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
